KIZILELMA UNMANNED WAR PLANE
The KIZILELMA Combat Unmanned Aircraft System (MIUS), developed by Baykar, successfully performed its first flight today. The first flight date of MIUS had been planned as 2023.
KIZILELMA, which has been successfully carrying out ground tests for a while, cut off the landing gear for a short time during its last test and landed again. Today, KIZILELMA successfully performed its first flight from Çorlu Square.
Haluk Bayraktar, General Manager of Baykar, said: We completed our first flight in a record time like 1 year in the Kızılelma project, which started in 2021 with 100% Baykar's own capital, a milestone for our country's aviation history. May it be beneficial to our homeland and nation, and to all geographies whose hearts beat with Turkey.” made the statement.
Low Radar Visibility
Bayraktar KIZILELMA, which will successfully perform the most challenging tasks, has low radar trace due to its design. Kızılelma is aimed to have a take-off weight of 6 tons.
The unmanned fighter aircraft, which will use all nationally developed ammunition, will be a great power factor with a planned 1500 kilogram payload capacity. The unmanned fighter aircraft will also have high situational awareness with the AESA radar to be integrated.
